The Ecumenism Commission supports the Diocese in fostering respectful dialogue and collaboration with other Christian communities. Rooted in the prayer of Jesus “that they may all be one,” this work includes joint services, local ecumenical partnerships, and theological conversation. The Commission encourages mutual understanding, shared witness, and practical cooperation in areas of common concern.

“Ecumenism… is not just some sort of appendix added to the Church’s traditional activity. Rather, it is an organic part of her life and work… like the fruit borne by a healthy and flourishing tree.”
— Ut Unum Sint, Pope John Paul II
