Dedicated to the service of God

Since the arrival of the Jesuits and Benedictine monks early in the 18th century, until the more recent arrival of missionary congregations from Asia and Africa, there is a rich history of consecrated life in the Diocese of Lancaster. These religious men and women have supported the mission of the Diocese through their prayer, their pastoral ministry, education, health care and in so many other areas. Other forms of Consecrated Life have also been established in the Diocese, such as The Order of Consecrated Virgins and Widows, third orders and secular institutes.
