The Education Service supports Catholic schools and colleges across the Diocese of Lancaster in their mission to provide excellent education rooted in faith. It works with headteachers, governors, and staff to promote Catholic ethos, ensure high standards, and support leadership development. The service also oversees the Religious Education curriculum, manages governance matters, and acts as a point of liaison with national education bodies and local authorities. Its goal is to help every school thrive as a community of faith and learning.
The Board of Education and Formation advises and supports the Diocese in its mission to provide faithful, high-quality Catholic education. To learn more about its role and current members, visit the Commission page.
