The Youth Service of the Diocese of Lancaster engages young people in the life of the Church through retreats, events, and leadership opportunities. Based at Castlerigg Manor, it provides a space where young people can encounter Christ, grow in faith, and build lasting friendships. The team works with schools and parishes to support youth ministry and encourage vocations, helping young Catholics live out their faith with confidence and joy.
Our mission is to create spaces where young people can encounter Christ, grow in faith, and build lasting friendships. We strive to make every young person feel valued, heard, and empowered to live out their faith authentically.
Nestled in the heart of the Lake District, Castlerigg Manor serves as the home of the Youth Service. This Victorian manor offers a welcoming environment for retreats and gatherings, accommodating up to 72 guests. The serene surroundings provide an ideal setting for reflection, community building, and spiritual growth.
Our programs and opportunities are designed to engage young people in meaningful ways, offering them a chance to deepen their faith and develop leadership skills.
