Why give?

The Church’s mission depends on the generosity of its people. Your gift helps us proclaim the Gospel, celebrate the sacraments, care for the poor, support clergy, and form the next generation of Catholics. Whether you give regularly or just once, every contribution strengthens the work of the Church in our parishes, schools, and wider communities.

Ways to give

Choose the method that suits you best. You can give:

To your local parish
Support the day-to-day life of your parish community, including worship, outreach, maintenance, and clergy support.
To diocesan appeals
Contribute to key ministries and needs across the Diocese, including youth work, safeguarding, formation, and education.
By standing order or online donation
Set up a regular gift or make a one-off donation quickly and securely.
Through Gift Aid
If you’re a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your donation at no extra cost.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid allows us to reclaim an additional 25p for every £1 you donate—at no cost to you. It only takes a moment to sign a Gift Aid declaration, but it has a lasting impact.

Leave a legacy

A gift in your will is a powerful way to support the future of the Church. Legacy giving can help fund new ministries, sustain parishes, and inspire faith in future generations. If you’re considering leaving a legacy to the Diocese or your parish, we’re here to guide you through the process.
